David Manning, CEO/Founder
David Manning is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. He has obtained a Master of Science in the field of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Texas Southern University, here in Houston, Texas. David was inspired to create Fishing Lessons Inc. as a result of constant interaction with marginalized youth living within disenfranchised environments.
Poverty is a current and constant crisis in the United States and the educational system has identified sound reasoning for the systemic recurrence of what has come to be known as "generational" poverty. Fishing Lessons Inc. seeks to take an in depth look into this trend while interacting with those youth who are essentially victimized by underperforming, underdeveloped educational and socioeconomic systems. He strongly believes that "as our youth are the number one resource for any society, we should invest in them, strive to improve the quality of their lives, and seek positive ways to alter the educational system for the better."
