Fishing Lessons Inc. provides schools with insight and information in an effort to positively effect change within school culture. In this process, our team collaborates with students and parents as well as school officials and local organizations in an effort to provide the best comprehensive service for youth. School culture is developed through the interrelatedness of community, ethnic-culture, socioeconomic status, academic expectations, access to financial resources and level of parent education. The interdependency of these elements which construct a given “school’s” culture are the very elements which we focus on in order to facilitate effective and long-term change.
Our team develops a unique plan for each school based on the specific needs of the school intertwined with the principles of our educational message. The individual student must be at the forefront of academic decision-making not test scores or hidden district agendas which dilute an already fading value in education. We seek to negate this process and enhance the progress of education in America by focusing on the true essence of education.
Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.
